Local boxer Mohammed Ali will be out for revenge when he faces Nathan ‘The Prince of Fiji’ Singh in the Bluewater Boxing Promotions event in March next year.
Ali says he will be looking to seek revenge on Singh, who defeated his father, Junior Farzan Ali, in a boxing match two years ago.
“I have been wanting to fight and get my revenge on Nathan Singh, and I am happy that the time is close,” the Nadi lad said.
Ali will be facing Singh at the Vodafone Arena in Suva on March 2 and is vying to share the ring with his opponent.
“I am very excited about this fight; a lot of people have been talking about it and now all they have to do is wait and see.”
Ali made a bold statement when he said he would force Singh to retire after their bout.
“After this fight where I will beat Singh, he will be retiring.”
Meanwhile, Singh brings an impressive record under his belt with a total of seven wins with one knockout and zero losses.
“He is a good fighter and I know he will be coming out strong, but I have waited for so long for this fight and I have been preparing well,” Singh said.
Ali’s last fight was against Kiwi boxer Shiva Mishra during the South Pacific Boxing Promotions (SPBP) event two weeks ago in Prince Charles Park in Nadi.
