Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is jetting off to Canada for the G7 summit, with a night stay in Nadi today.

He is scheduled to arrive in Nadi at 3:30pm this afternoon.

Later this evening, he will meet Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka for a bilateral meeting.

Talks are expected to focus on climate change and regional security.

“Visiting Fiji so soon after the election is a deliberate decision to reinforce my government’s Pacific priorities and to exchange views with my dear friend prime minister Rabuka, a respected Pacific statesman,” said Mr Albanese.
