Police arrested a known political activist yesterday at the new wing of the Government Buildings, which houses the Office of the Prime Minister, after he was found behaving suspiciously inside.
The man reportedly entered through the main entrance and was stopped by security officers on the first floor.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed the incident, saying officers on security detail intervened after noticing unusual behaviour.
“The individual walked in through the main entrance and was questioned by officers on security detail. He was behaving in a suspicious manner, removed from the premises, and taken to Totogo Police Station,” Ms Naisoro said.
Police investigations are ongoing.
