Acting Fiji Corrections Services Commissioner Sevuloni Naucukidi accused of threatening one of his employee has been released on $1000 non-cash bail bond.

Mr Naucukidi made his first appearance before Magistrate Shageeth Somaratne at the Suva Magistrate’s Court this afternoon.

He is facing a count of criminal intimidation allegedly committed in July this year.

It is alleged that during the month of July 2025, he threatened a member of his support staff.

The matter has been stood down to allow his lawyer, Joji Cakau, to provide documents confirming Mr Naucukidi’s official travel to New Zealand, which is scheduled for tomorrow.

Case will be recalled at 2.30pm.

Appearing for the state was Prosecutor Sadaf Shameem.
