Adi Cakobau School will make history this year as they mark their debut appearance in the Extra Fiji Secondary Schools Football Championship, scheduled to be held at the newly redeveloped 4R Stadium in Ba from August 20–23.
Fiji Secondary Schools Football Association (FSSFA) President Aminesh Ram expressed his gratitude to the Ba Town Council for allowing the use of the stadium and praised the growing interest in the competition.
“We are prepared and ready to host the games. The interest is immense this year. We also have numerous first timers including Duavata Secondary School from the North, Nilsen College, Ba Methodist in the U19 Boys, and of course Adi Cakobau School making their debut in the Girls Division,” Ram said.
This year’s tournament is proudly sponsored by Extra, who presented a $28,000 sponsorship cheque to support the event.
Ram also acknowledged the support of the Fiji Football Association.
“I sincerely thank Fiji FA for their continuous support towards secondary school football.”
The tournament will use six grounds, but the central hub will be 4R Stadium, which features a newly completed grandstand and upgraded facilities.
