ACP Aporosa Lutunauga appointed acting Deputy Commissioner of Police

A/DCP Lutunauga brings over 30 years of policing experience. Originally from Nawaca Village in Bua, with maternal ties to Galoa Island, he began his career in 1994 after being recruited from Suva Grammar School. His first posting was at the Labasa Police Station, later serving in Lekutu, Delai Labasa, and the Northern Division Headquarters.

He rose through the ranks, taking on roles in strategic planning, research, and doctrine development. In 2021, he was appointed ACP and served as Chief Planning, Research & Doctrines Officer before becoming Chief Administration Officer in 2022.

A/DCP Lutunauga has also undertaken international training in leadership and security studies across China, Israel, Germany, and Italy. His leadership extends to board positions including the Fiji Public Service Credit Union, Asia Pacific Rugby League Federation, and Suva Grammar School. He also co-facilitates the Pacific Policing Initiative under the Australian Federal Police.
