A 58-YEAR-OLD woman who was involved in an accident earlier this month died at Lautoka Hospital last Friday.
Her death brings to three the number of people who have died as a result of the Tagitagi, Tavua, incident.
Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said a post-mortem examination would be conducted.
“The accident occurred on April 1 at Tagitagi, Tavua, when a vehicle driven by a 49-year-old heading to Waikona with five other passengers went off the road and hit a culvert,” she said.
The same accident earlier claimed the life of two of the five passengers.
“The 49-year-old driver is yet to be charged for any of the incidents as he has also been admitted at Lautoka Hospital as a result of injuries sustained.
“He will be questioned once approval is given by medical authorities.”
