Authorities are investigating an abandoned yacht, “S’boro of Karasu,” discovered in waters off Cakaudrove.
The vessel was spotted floating near Ucunipotu waters on Monday before being towed and safely anchored at the Yasawa Village foreshore.
A joint operation involving the Fiji Police Force, Criminal Investigations Department (CID), Fiji Revenue and Customs Service (FRCS), village officials and local divers was carried out on Tuesday to assess the situation.
Investigations are ongoing, with authorities expected to release further details once assessments are completed.
