Ro Teimumu Kepa, the paramount chief of the Burebasaga Confederacy and Na Gone Marama Bale na Roko Tui Dreketi has paid tribute to outgoing President, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere.
Ro Teimumu described Ratu Wiliame as “a towering, unifying figure.”
“He stood the test of time and guided Fiji during one of our recent troubled times,” she said.
“You depart the highest Office of this land with dignity and grace. Ni kalougata tiko na Gone Turaga Bale na Tui Macuata kei na Marama na Radini Vanua.”
Newly elected President, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu will take his oath of office in a ceremony at 11am tomorrow at Government House.
