TELECOM Fijiana speedster Ana Maria Naimasi is part of a special group of athletes who have represented the country in three sports.
The 22-year-old from Galoa Village in Serua was part of the Fiji women’s cricket team that travelled to Vanuatu for the Tri-Series in 2011 and 2012.
In 2013, Naimasi was selected for the Fiji netball under-19, which played in New Zealand in the trans-tasman Series and later represented Fiji A at the Vodafone Arena in 2014.
Naimasi made her debut for the Fijiana 7s team at the Dubai 7s last year and again played for the side at the Sydney 7s earlier this month.
Naimasi said everything was possible if you believed in yourself and gave it a try.
“I have always wanted to represent Fiji in rugby and I was fortunate to have represented our country in three different fields.
“There is nothing impossible if the heart is willing and you trust in yourself, all you have to do is believe and work towards it,” she added.
She would like to thank her coaches from Lomary Secondary School, especially her parents for supporting her throughout.
The Fijiana 7s team are training at the Uprising Beach Resort grounds for the Las Vegas Sevens next month.
