It’s that time of the year again, when the streets and chatter is hot for this year’s Fiji Fashion Week. And after 16 years, 2023 is no exception.

The team at Fiji Fashion Week are working behind the scenes with some amazing designers on some new and exciting creations as well as an addition that will surely blow your socks off! Fiji Fashion Week team welcomes A New Era Of Fashion with the addition of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and some new and exciting personalities who will bring a fresh new vibe to this year’s show.

Artificial intelligence, or AI, as we know it, is a rapidly growing field that is transforming the way we live and work. With the exponential increase in computing power and the availability of large datasets, AI has made remarkable strides in recent years, enabling breakthroughs in areas such as self-driving cars, medical diagnosis, and natural language processing among many others.

While AI is potentially revolutionising other industries, it now has shown its power in the fashion industry too.

This year, Fiji Fashion Week, after it’s 16th year in operation will uncover a new world of Artificial Intelligence and how it will revolutionise fashion for us all, even in the Pacific.

“The fashion industry in Fiji is always pushing the boundaries of creativity, boldness, innovation and avant-garde, though now it seems they are also pushing the boundaries of technology” says Ellen Whippy-Knight, managing director of Fiji Fashion Week.

She has also indicated that we may be in for an AI surprise at this year’s launch this coming Monday, May 1, at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva.

In line with our technological advancements this year, Fiji Fashion Week has partnered with Vodafone Fiji who have launched our ticket sales through their online platform VitiKart.

That’s right, you can now purchase your tickets for the show through VitiKart and M-PAiSA with a few easy steps.

Fiji Fashion Week has always attempted to operate our business in a way that is environmentally sustainable and so by decreasing the number of printed tickets this year, we are doing our part to contribute in saving our environment as well as your time and fuel consumption.

Over the next few weeks, we will share who our designers are and the new things we will introduce in this year’s show. Stay tuned!
