Attorney-General Siromi Turaga has voiced his concerns on the recent performance of the national 7s men’s team on the World SVNS Series.
The Ben Gollings coached-side has failed to win a tournament since the Toulouse 7s in France in 2022, accumulating 19 failed attempts since.
“We love our rugby. They’re not performing well, especially sevens,” A-G Turaga said.
Turaga said the anger in the voices of fans would not go unnoticed.
“They feel the anger of the nation. I will inquire within the board.
“There are issues which I do not want to divulge now but things are becoming clear.
He also highlighted that there could have been some issues regarding the employment contract of national men’s 7s coach Ben Gollings.
Meanwhile, the FRU board will meet the coaches of the Fiji men’s and women’s teams tomorrow.
