Soccer competition underway at the Sangam Convention in Nadi this morning

The Sanatan convention football tournament in Navua has been called off, with several key matches left unplayed.

Organisers confirmed that the remaining fixtures — including the final three quarters, semi-finals and final in the open grade, as well as the semi-finals and finals for the masters and legends grades — will not proceed.

This action was taken due to weather warnings issued by the National Disaster Management Office.

Tams from New Zealand across all three categories are scheduled to depart tomorrow.

Meanwhile, football action continues in Nadi, where the Sangam convention tournament is still underway at Prince Charles Park.

Semi-finals in the master’s and super premier grade were played this morning, with the finals scheduled to be completed this afternoon.
