EXTRA Supermarket has officially launched the 2026 Extra Premier League, reaffirming its role as the competition’s major sponsor for a second consecutive year.
The launch was held yesterday at Fiji FA Headquarters in Vatuwaqa, Suva.
Extra continues to play a significant role in supporting community development through sports. Its partnership with football reflects a long-term vision focused on consistency, growth, and meaningful impact across all levels of the game.
The company’s investment in Fijian football spans both grassroots and elite competitions. This includes support for the under-16 and under-19 boys’ youth leagues, the senior league, the Premier League, the futsal IDC, the Battle of the Giants tournament, the national futsal team, and Extra Bula FC.
Chief Marketing Officer Lailanie Burnes said Extra’s continued support reflects the company’s strong belief in the role football plays across communities.
“Extra’s support for football in Fiji is grounded in consistency and long-term commitment,” Burnes said.
“We believe in the talent of our players, the passion of our fans, and the leadership guiding the game forward.
“Football also plays an important role in creating opportunities, inspiring young people, and helping address broader social challenges.”
The 2026 season will once again bring together teams, players, officials, and supporters nationwide, with Extra committed to supporting the league throughout the campaign.
