Jake Suitauloa joins the ranks following a dominant streak of New Zealand Premier Men’s sprint titles.
With podium finishes at elite international events like the World Sprint Championships, Molokai Hoe, and Vaka Eiva, he has solidified his reputation as one of the Pacific’s most formidable young paddlers – a rare talent defined by speed, stamina, and technical precision.
Wainohu also brings world-champion pedigree and extensive international experience, and is a current New Zealand national paddling coach.
Their presence reinforces Simple Green’s development-first approach: supporting athletes who elevate the sport, share high-performance knowledge, and model respect for the ocean as a living part of Pacific paddling culture.
The Wai Tui International runs from April 3 to 6 2026 at Wailoaloa Beach, Nadi, with organisers confirming close to 300 paddlers from Fiji, Australia, Nauru, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga and United States of America.
The program features V1 and V6 sprint and endurance racing across junior, open, and masters divisions, a full program blending explosive sprint events with longer endurance courses, according to event organisers.
