Courts & Sportsworld in collaboration with Diabetes Fiji, supported by Vision Group Foundation has launched a Diabetes Awareness campaign to tackle Diabetes – The Silent Killer, which is rapidly increasing in our communities, reflecting Courts & SportsWorld growing focus on community wellbeing. With diabetes remaining a significant health concern in Fiji, the campaign seeks to promote awareness around prevention, early detection, and healthier lifestyle choices. Educational messaging, community engagement activities, and potential partnerships with health stakeholders are central to this initiative, positioning Courts as a brand that goes beyond retail to actively support national health priorities.
Under this initiative, Diabetes Fiji will provide trained medical personnel that includes a dietitian and a nurse to conduct outreach clinics six days a week over an initial 12-month period.
From Monday to Wednesday, clinics will be conducted in selected rural villages, informal settlements, and faith-based community locations. From Thursday to Saturday, clinics will be held at selected Courts and Sportsworld retail outlets nationwide, aligned with promotional outdoor radio broadcasts.
