Pacific Energy has announced the immediate suspension of all its fuel discount promotions, citing rising supply costs and challenging market conditions.
In a notice to customers, the company said the decision was necessary due to a “significant increase in supply costs,” despite fuel prices in Fiji remaining comparatively low.
“Unfortunately, this has made it unsustainable for us to continue the promotions under these present conditions,” the company stated.
Pacific Energy said it would continue to monitor market developments closely and may reinstate the promotions once conditions improve.
“We are closely monitoring the situation and will resume the promotions as soon as the market conditions become more favorable,” the statement said.
The company also acknowledged the impact on customers and thanked them for their understanding during the period.
“We sincerely appreciate your understanding and continued support during this time,” it added.
The move comes amid broader concerns over rising global fuel prices and supply pressures, which have begun to affect local fuel costs and related services across Fiji.
