Fiji Airways is strengthening its North American network with increased Vancouver services and an expanded codeshare partnership with British Airways.

According to the national airline, this service will give guests more choice, greater convenience and improved connectivity between Canada, the United Kingdom, Fiji and the wider South Pacific.

“From June 16, 2026, Fiji Airways will increase its Vancouver service to three flights per week year-round, responding to strong demand from the Canadian market and reinforcing the route’s growing importance within the airline’s international network,” the company said in a statement.

“Additional seasonal capacity will also be introduced on select travel dates to support peak demand.”

The national airline is also expanding its codeshare partnership with British Airways to include the Nadi-Vancouver route, allowing British Airways customers to book travel between the United Kingdom and Fiji via Vancouver under the British Airways code.

” The move builds on the existing codeshare network across Singapore, Hong Kong, Narita, San Francisco and Los Angeles, further strengthening Fiji Airways’ position as a key South Pacific gateway,” Fiji Airways added.

“This latest addition marks a further milestone in the growing partnership between the two airlines.”

Fiji Airways managing director and chief executive officer Paul Scurrah said the developments marked another important step in the airline’s North American growth strategy.

“The expansion of our Vancouver services, alongside the extension of our codeshare partnership with British Airways, is a proud moment for Fiji Airways as we continue to grow our presence in North America,” Mr Scurrah said.

“We are excited by the opportunities this creates for our guests, offering greater choice, convenience and seamless connectivity across our network.

“These developments reflect our ongoing commitment to delivering a world-class travel experience, while sharing the warmth, care and spirit of Fiji with every journey.”

Vancouver International Airport vice-president and chief external affairs officer Mike McNaney said they were pleased to see Fiji Airways expand its presence in Vancouver with increased service and an enhanced partnership with British Airways.

“Expanding the number of flights to Fiji from Vancouver further strengthens our role as Canada’s Asia-Pacific gateway, while offering travellers more choice and seamless connectivity across the South Pacific,” Mr McNaney said.
