PERMANENT secretary for iTaukei Affairs Jone Navakamocea has dismissed claims he has stepped down, saying he remains in the role amid an escalating dispute within the ministry.
“I have not resigned,” he said.
“Why should I resign?
“Until PM advises PSC Chair for me to resign, then I will weigh it out and resign.”
He also indicated there were outstanding issues to be addressed with key parties.
“I have to clear this out with minister and his political appointees and also to clear it out with the Commission (Public Service Commission) .”
His comments come as tensions surfaced in the ministry’s leadership, after he made allegations against his minister .
