THE draws for the semifinals of the Southern Zone Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby League competition have been confirmed following a hard-fought quarterfinal playoff last week at the Saint Marcellin’s grounds in Vatuwaqa.

In the U15 grade, the first semi-final will see Marist Brothers High School (MBHS) Stormers face the Ratu Kadavulevu School (RKS) Eels. MBHS secured their semifinal spot with a narrow 10-8 victory over Ratu Simione Matanitobua College, while RKS dominated Dudley High School 29-2 to advance.

The second U15 semi-final will feature Nasinu Secondary School Panthers against the Gospel High School (GHS) Saints.

In the U17 grade, Lami High School (LHS) Tigers will take on the Lelean Memorial School (LMS) Knights in the first semi-final, while the RKS Eels will face the NSS Panthers in the second.

In the U19 grade, defending champions Naitasiri Secondary School Warriors will battle the Queen Victoria School (QVS) Knights in the opening semi-final.

The second semi-final will see the RKS Eels go head-to ead with the in-form NSS Panthers. The first U19 semi-final also serves as the Tanoa Challenge defence for holders Naitasiri Warriors, while the second doubles as the Bati Challenge, where RKS Eels will aim to extend their unbeaten run.

The semi-finals kick off this Saturday, 28 March, at the Saint Marcellin’s grounds in Vatuwaqa.
