Stella Maris Primary School is on track for a strong finish in this year’s Suva Primary School’s Netball competition, with all teams from under-9 to under-14 securing places in the semi-finals.
Teacher Luisa Robyn said the school had high expectations, particularly in the senior grades, as the under-13 and under-14 teams aimed to defend their titles. “Almost all our teams have made it to Tier One this year, which is a big achievement,” she said.
Despite illness affecting several players, the girls from Nasese seaside pushed through to book their semi-final spots.
“Our aim this year is for all teams to reach the finals and defend our title,” Mrs Robyn said. She praised the girls’ commitment, passion and discipline. With strong backing from parents, teachers and families, Stella Maris Primary School remains confident of a successful campaign next week.
