A SHUTTLE bus service for all teams participating in the Fiji Bitter Marist 7s will run from the Suva Flea Market to the HFC Bank Stadium during the tournament.

The bus service will be provided by Shore Buses for all teams from next Thursday, when the Marist 7s starts, until its end on Saturday.

It will depart every 40 minutes from the Flea Market to the stadium and return, with entry into the buses made via accreditation passes provided.

This was announced by Marist Rugby Club president Lawrence Tikaram on Wednesday.

Tikaram said the opportunity to provide the service was facilitated by the Suva City Council.

He thanked the council’s acting chief executive officer and special administrators chairperson Tevita Boseiwaqa for being part of the tournament’s journey.

“We also want to thank the Suva City Council, who will be making announcements this week as well, who are also part of this journey, and they will also allocate enough space to do another planting initiative along the Suva Foreshore in August this year,” Tikaram told the media.

The tournament’s first tree planting exercise takes place next Wednesday at the Damodar Arts Centre in Pacific Harbour, where the captains of the Marist 7s’ 128 participating teams will take part in it.

Tikaram also thanked Shore Buses’ director Aman Singh for allowing the move to take place to ensure players were safely transported.

The Marist 7s will feature 128 teams, made up of 72 men’s teams, 12 women’s teams, 32 teams for the 18 to under-21 grade and 12 youth teams equally split among the boys and girls.

It will also be the final stop of the 2025/26 season of the Fiji Bitter 7s series, since it began in Levuka with the Yalovata 7s in November last year.
