THE West Secondary Schools Rugby League quarter-finals will be played at Govind Park and Xavier College Grounds on Saturday.

Ba/Tavua/Ra zone coordinator David Wise confirmed the Under-15 and Under-17 grades would play their quarter-finals this weekend, while the Under-19 grade would continue its round-robin competition.

Ba Provincial High School, Ra High School and Ba Methodist High School have already secured places in the national secondary schools rugby league quarter-finals in Suva on April 11.

The three schools booked their spots after collecting enough points from their opening round-robin matches.

The fourth and final qualifying team will be confirmed after the last round of the round-robin competition next fortnight.

Wise said the stakes would be high for the younger grades this weekend.

“For the U15 and U17 grades, whoever wins will qualify for the national quarter-finals in Suva on April 11,” he said.

“The U19 grade will continue their round-robin matches.”
