HIS parents cheering on him in the stands of the 4R Stadium, Govind Park in Ba and the belief that victory is within reach will be the mantra guiding ACT Brumbies player Rob Valetini this Saturday.

Valetini will play his 100th Super Rugby Pacific match after being named in the starting XV for the Brumbies yesterday.

And for Rob, seeing his parents this Saturday up in the stands is the realisation of an intention to have them witness this duel.

In an interview with Australian news agency AAP, he shared how his parents went the extra mile to ensure he was well cared for.

“My parents have made a lot of sacrifices in my life, and I thought it would be nice to have it in Fiji and bring them over.”

and have all my family there that are already in Fiji as well,” Valentini told AAP.

Rob has been named in the starting XV for the Brumbies while his brother Kemu will not feature in this round however he stated how hopeful he was to play against him.

“It will be nice to celebrate with them and hopefully I get to play against my brother as well so hopefully he gets picked.”

He will also make a return to Fiji after featuring against the Drua in the opening round of Super Rugby last year in Suva, where the visitors won 36-32.

And with this, he and his teammates are raring to meet the Drua once more on their home turf.

“The boys are preparing well this week already and we’re pretty hungry to get over the weekend and get into this game,” Valetini said.

Meanwhile, the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua head coach Glen Jackson has congratulated Valetini on his 100th Super Rugby appearance as well.

The clash between the Drua and the Brumbies kicks off at 3.30pm.
