Members of the Fiji Club gathered in Suva recently to celebrate the club’s 151st anniversary, marking more than a century of history as one of the country’s oldest social and sporting institutions.
Established in 1875, the club has grown from its colonial-era beginnings into a modern family-friendly venue while retaining many of the traditions that have defined it for generations.
The anniversary gathering brought together long-time members, families and supporters, many of whom reflected on the club’s enduring presence in the capital.
The evening combined formal acknowledgements with relaxed conversations among members, with many noting the importance of preserving the club’s heritage for future generations.
Over the years, the Fiji Club has remained a familiar meeting place for residents and visitors alike, continuing its legacy of sport, fellowship and community engagement.
Today, the Fiji Club continues to serve as a social hub in Suva, maintaining traditions that have shaped its identity while adapting to the needs of a new generation of members.
