The Ministry of Health and Medical Services has announced the temporary closure of dental services at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital following flooding that affected the clinic areas.

In a public advisory issued today, the Ministry said the flooding has compromised parts of the dental clinic, posing a safety risk to both patients and staff.

Maintenance teams are currently working to dry the affected areas and assess dental equipment to determine the extent of the damage.

The Ministry says the dental department will reopen once the facilities have been declared safe for public use.

In the meantime, members of the public requiring dental care are advised to seek services at alternative nearby health facilities.

The Ministry has apologised for the inconvenience and thanked the public for their patience.
