The Republic of Fiji Navy’s (RFN) Guardian-Class Patrol Boats have been active over the past few days.
The Fiji Navy said the Guardian-class patrol boat RFNS Timo arrived successfully in Cairns, Australia in preparation for the upcoming military exercise and fleet review.
The vessel, according to RFN was greeted by the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) maritime security advisor to Fiji, Lieutenant Commander Mitch Thomas who had safely piloted the guardian-class patrol boat into the harbour.
The Fiji Navy said the crew are in good health and are preparing for the exercise.
Meanwhile, he RFNS Savenaca supported the 3FIR Exercise Guadalcanal this week. It transported troops to Vanua Levu and has further tasks scheduled in the coming days.
