Constable Racagi’s murder | Two to front court

Two men are set to appear at the Suva Magistrate’s Court today charged with the alleged murder of Police Constable Peniasi Racagi.

Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu confirmed the accused, aged 42 and 20, residents of Qauia, Lami, were formally charged following consultations with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

“The two, along with another individual, are alleged to have, between February 21 and 22, 2026, aided and abetted in causing injuries to the late Constable Racagi, resulting in his death,” Commissioner Tudravu said.
