The Fiji Police Force will produce two men in court on Thursday, March 5, 2026, charged in relation to the alleged murder of Police Constable 8012 Peniasi Racagi.

Following consultations with the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), the two accused — aged 42 and 20, both residents of Qauia in Lami — have been formally charged with murder.

Police allege that the two men, along with another individual, between February 21 and 22, 2026, aided and abetted in causing injuries to the late Constable Racagi, resulting in his death.

The accused remain in police custody and are expected to be produced at the Suva Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu confirmed the developments.
