Suva Grammar School held its Prefect Induction ceremony last Thursday.

Headgirl Anna Jikoibau and headboy Brendon Leo both pledged to uphold their commitment to leading the school with integrity and dedication, while supporting both students and teachers in their respective roles.

Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro, who officiated at the event, reminded students that leadership extended beyond titles and badges.

“Each of you has the capacity to lead through commitment to your studies, teamwork in sports and kindness in your daily interactions,” he said.

Mr Radrodro also acknowledged the vital role of parents and guardians in supporting their children’s education, describing it as a partnership between families and the school in nurturing responsible and capable young leaders.

More than 128 students were officially badged as prefects during the ceremony which was witnessed by proud parents, guardians, and members of the school community.
