The Fiji Meteorological Service says a heavy rain warning remains in force for the Fiji Group as an active trough of low pressure continues to affect the country.
Fiji Met said the system, accompanied by rain bands and strong northwesterly winds, is bringing occasional to periods of rain, heavy at times, with a few thunderstorms expected over most places.
The weather office said rainfall is forecast to gradually ease later tomorrow.
However, it warned that localised heavy downpours may lead to flash flooding, particularly in low-lying and flood-prone areas.
Fiji Met is urging members of the public to stay updated with the latest official weather bulletins and to avoid crossing flooded roads, rivers and creeks.
People are also advised to remain alert for rapid rises in water levels and to secure loose outdoor items due to gusty winds.
During flooding or thunderstorms, the public is reminded to move away from electrical appliances, power outlets and downed power lines, and to avoid using electrical equipment if standing on wet surfaces.
