The Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) has said all Fijian soldiers currently deployed in the Middle East are safe and fully accounted for, despite recent regional tensions involving Iran, the United States and Israel.

In a statement, Fiji Military Forces Commander Jone Kalouniwai said the latest security assessments indicate that current hostilities remain confined to specific operational targets and have not affected areas where Fijian personnel are stationed.

The military confirmed there are no known or confirmed threats directed at Fijian contingents in the region.

The RFMF said it continues to closely monitor the evolving situation through official intelligence channels and has appropriate force-protection measures in place to ensure the safety and welfare of all deployed personnel.

Families of deployed soldiers and members of the public have been urged to remain calm and to rely only on official RFMF updates for accurate information as the situation develops.
