A heavy rain warning remains in force for the entire Fiji Group, although weather officials say conditions are expected to gradually improve from tomorrow.

The Fiji Meteorological Service says an active trough of low pressure, with associated rainbands and strong northwesterly winds, continues to affect the country.

Occasional to periods of rain are expected across most places, heavy at times with a few thunderstorms. Rainfall is forecast to gradually ease later tomorrow, however localised heavy falls may still trigger flash flooding in low-lying and flood-prone areas.

Residents are urged to remain vigilant, avoid flooded roads and crossings, and continue following official weather warnings and advisories as conditions slowly improve.
