LOYAL Hurricanes supporter Steve Tait travelled all the way from Wellington to be part of the ultimate Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific experience in Lautoka.

This according to him, was the type of experience he only saw on his television screen.

Tait was at the ground with three others and they planned to extend their stay for a mini vacation.

“We have some pretty wild weather back in Wellington. I think they can handle the rain, we’ve got some big forwards and it may be a little better than hot and sunny.”

Tait was not at all bothered by the early downpour at Churchill Park saying that it is the kind of weather that is ideal for a winning Hurricanes outfit.

“I’m a keen supporter of the Hurricanes, I’ve got season tickets back at home but I was keen to come to Fiji to see this game.

“I’ve always been impressed with the Fijian crowds I see on TV and I think they love rugby as much as we do,” he said.

He was amongst the many Hurricanes supporter that turned up in yellow and black yesterday.
