THIRTY players have been chosen to represent the Fiji Corrections Services’ Wardens team for the 2026 rugby season as they go through a rebuilding phase.

The players were chosen following the FSC’s annual inter-unit 7s tournament.

The southern, central and western divisions fielded three teams each while the national and northern divisions had two teams each.

“We had the trials for us to reset our 7s team. Last season we were quite inconsistent in our performance on the national scene.

“This tournament is to see the new talent that we have, we’ve had two recruits but we haven’t had a chance to see them come up to show their talents.

“We managed to identify some new talents, some players that have been in Corrections in the past two years but haven’t had the chance to show their skills and their talents. We are in a rebuilding phase this year and we hope that the 30 that we have selected will take us through to next year,” FSC’s spokesperson Jone Sigavou stated.

From the 30, a team will be selected for the Fiji Bitter Nawaka and Marist 7s tournaments.
