A bus has veered off the road near Madhuvani Primary School in Rakiraki, in an incident that occurred at around 12.30pm today.
The bus, owned by Vatukoula Express, was on its daily trip to Nokonoko Village when it left the roadway.
There were two passengers in the bus at the time of the incident.
Eyewitnesses say a pedestrian was also struck by the bus during the incident and was rushed to hospital for treatment. The condition of the injured person is not known at this stage.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
