THE Student Designer Show has officially been rebranded as the Fiji Fashion Week Student Designer Show Presented by FIJI Water following a new three-year sponsorship agreement.

Fiji Fashion Week general manager Joan Kamikamica-Smith confirmed the partnership, describing it as a significant milestone for the platform that showcases emerging designers from secondary schools across the country.

“Effective immediately, the show will be rebranded as the Fiji Fashion Week Student Designer Show Presented by FIJI Water,” she said.

Ms Kamikamica-Smith said the Student Designers Show had long been a cornerstone of Fiji Fashion Week, serving as a foundation for young creative talent nationwide.

“Over the years, the platform has consistently nurtured young designers, giving them professional exposure, mentorship and the opportunity to showcase their collections on one of the region’s most prestigious fashion stages.”

She added that the three-year partnership marked “an exciting new chapter”, reinforcing a shared commitment to excellence, creativity, sustainability and youth empowerment.

“We are super excited to have FIJI Water onboard as sponsors of the Student Designers Show, as our branding objectives align exceptionally well.

“Both Fiji Fashion Week and FIJI Water celebrate world-class standards while proudly representing Fiji on a global stage.”

Ms Kamikamica-Smith said the sponsorship would help strengthen arts development at the high school level, providing young creatives with opportunities to develop their talent, confidence and innovation.

FIJI Water director of external affairs Geoffrey Smith said the company was pleased to support the initiative.

“As a proud sponsor, we’re delighted to support Fiji Fashion Week and emerging student designers through this inspiring platform that celebrates talent and creativity,” Mr Smith said.

“The passion and originality of these young designers embody the vibrant future of Fiji’s fashion industry, and we’re honoured to play a role in elevating their journey and celebrating their achievements.”

The Fiji Fashion Week Student Designer Show Presented by FIJI Water will be held on Saturday, May 30 at the Vodafone Arena in Suva.
