Charlie Charters remains in FICAC custody; lawyer to release statement tomorrow

Citizen journalist Charlie Charters is currently at the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption head office in Suva.

Lawyer Seforan Fatiaki spoke to the media after returning from meeting his client this evening.

He said Charters is doing well and that a statement will be released tomorrow.

Fiji Law Society president Wylie Clarke also briefly met with Mr Charters at the office. However, upon leaving the premises, Mr Clarke declined to comment.

Mr Charters was arrested at the Nadi airport earlier this afternoon.

He has published confidential information about FICAC on his Facebook page this week.
