THE Ba Golf Club has received a timely $2500 boost ahead of its season opening tournament this Saturday, following sponsorship support from General Machinery Motors.
The sponsorship, provided in both cash and kind, was handed over to assist with preparations for the opening event.
Executive director Alvin Singh said the company remains committed to supporting the sport and its development.
“We’ve always been supporting the Ba Golf Club and other golf clubs around the country, and it’s one of the sports that our company does,” Singh said.
“This is also on behalf of my father, who was the founder of our company. That’s why we’ve been doing this every year to promote golf and its development.”
Club officials acknowledged the support, saying it will help ensure the smooth running of Saturday’s tournament as local golfers prepare to tee off the new season.
