POLICE have confirmed receiving the investigation file of suspended Director of Immigration Amelia Komaisavai from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP).

“We can confirm that investigation files of all implicated immigration officers, including the director, have been received from the ODPP,” police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed.

Ms Komaisavai is believed to be on leave pending investigations into the unauthorised issuance of Fijian passports to the children of two Grace Road Church members.

The ODPP told this newspaper that Ms Komaisavai’s file was sent to the police last month.

In December last year, the ODPP said it received her file, noting that she was implicated along with “a few others”.

At the time, the office said the evidence had been reviewed, its analysis concluded, and the file would be returned to police in due course, along with a summary of the ODPP’s recommendations.
