Police have confirmed that a high school student believed to have started a brawl at the Lautoka Municipal Market was taken into custody by market police this afternoon.
Authorities said the student was detained by Lautoka market police officers and his parents have since been contacted.
Police were called to the busy market area after a fight broke out involving secondary school students from various schools in Lautoka.
Officers moved in to control the situation and restore order.
