The Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) says construction of the temporary bypass road at the Armco Crossing near Semo Village is progressing well.
In a statement, FRA confirmed that clearing and grubbing works on the bypass were nearing 90 per cent completion as of 5am today.
The temporary route is being built to accommodate traffic affected by the recent road slip at the crossing.
Motorists are urged to plan their travel accordingly and expect possible delays while works continue.
“All drivers are advised to exercise extreme caution when travelling through the area,” the authority said.
A portion of the main highways at Semo village collapsed yesterday afternoon after heavy rain, affecting hundreds of commuters.
