Primary and secondary school students were recognised for promoting peace through art during the Heavenly Culture World Peace Restoration of Light (HWPL) Drawing Contest award ceremony held at the Fiji Scouts Association National Headquarters in Suva last Saturday.

HWPL Fiji senior advisor Bimal Deo said the event was organised to encourage young people to share positive messages through their creativity.

“The ceremony is organised to recognise and celebrate the creativity and meaningful messages expressed by students through art, centred on the values of peace, coexistence, and mutual respect,” he said.

He said the contest allowed students to reflect on peace within their own communities and express their hopes for a better future.

“The drawing contest provided young participants with an opportunity to reflect on peace in their communities and to express their visions for a harmonious future.”

Chief guest Fiji Girl Guides Association president Caroline Fisher congratulated the participants and encouraged them to continue using their talents to inspire unity and respect.
