BRITISH High Commissioner Kanbar Hossein-Bor hosted an arts reception and exhibition last week, celebrating Fiji’s creative community while supporting the all-in campaign to end violence against women and girls.

Speaking at the event, Minister for Women Sashi Kiran said violence against women took many interconnected forms, all rooted in power, control, and gender inequality.

Also present were Online Safety Commissioner Filipe Batiwale and local artists including Queen of Vude Laisa Vulakoro, artist Liz Vamarasi, and aspiring Fijian rapper Sam Kurikitoga, known as Mr Sam.
