Fiji Airways national men’s team will have no margin for error when the next leg of the HSBC SVNS Series heads to Canada.
The draw for Vancouver, to be played at BC Place on March 7–8, has placed Fiji in a formidable Pool B alongside Australia, Argentina and France.
Fiji head to Vancouver buoyed by another strong showing in Perth, where they finished runners-up after a pulsating final against South Africa.
However, the pool draw ensures the men in white will be tested from the opening whistle in Canada.
Newly crowned Perth champions South Africa headline Pool A, where they will take on New Zealand, Spain and Great Britain.
In the women’s competition, triple Perth champions New Zealand have been drawn in Pool A with France, Japan and Great Britain, while Cape Town winners Australia face USA, hosts Canada and Fiji in Pool B.
Beyond the main series action, BC Place will also host the Teck Tri-Nations Challenge, featuring Canada, Japan and Chile, adding to a packed weekend of sevens rugby in Vancouver.
