A $7 million indoor children’s play centre dubbed TrueKids Playground has been commissioned by Grace Road Group in Navua.
The multi-million-dollar complex was opened over the weekend providing employment opportunities for locals.
Grace Road Group executive Grace Park said they had been planning to open such a facility for a long time.
“This facility is different from what we have built over the years,” Ms Parksaid.
“This kind of indoor playground is designed to provide a safe and fun environment for the whole family.
“So it is not just about having a food commercial entity. It focuses also on providing an environment for the whole family.
“Children can come in and play around in the indoor playground while the parents are enjoying a meal or coffee at the cafe while watching them.”
She said this was the biggest indoor playground they had built.
“On a smaller scale we have indoor playgrounds in Veisari and Nausori. This one is 20 times bigger than them.
“This playground is over 1000 square metres. It features 11 different slides, a jungle gym and a big trampoline. So we can cater for a toddler right up to a child that is under 160 centimetres can enjoy everything on the playground.
“Each session is two and half hours. We have four sessions on the weekends and open at 9am and during the weekdays, we have three sessions starting from midday.”
