SPREADING the word of God was the primary focus of the Church Futsal Brothers competition, which took place at the FMF Gymnasium in Suva.

With 16 teams participating, the competition was filled with excitement and camaraderie.

According to team president Benjamin Rahul, the Church Futsal Brothers competition aims to bring churches together in unity while spreading the message of God.

The main goal is to gather people to celebrate the name of Jesus, fostering a sense of praise and glory to Him.

“The Church Futsal Brothers competition is all about bringing churches together with one harmony, spreading the word of God,” said Rahul.

“Our main motive is to have people come together to celebrate the name of Jesus, to have one mind set to praise and glory to Jesus.

“We have around 16 teams participating in this year’s competition, this is our second year running this competition.”

He adds this year’s competition saw the participation of teams from various regions, including the West, creating a platform for individuals to enjoy the sport, make new connections, and deepen their faith.

“We have teams from the West and other parts of the country, all coming to just enjoy and the sport and have a time to make new friends and network.”

Now in its second year, the Church Futsal Brothers competition has garnered positive feedback from participants and supporters.

Rahul expressed gratitude for the ongoing support and encouragement received, emphasising the importance of unity and fellowship in achieving their goals.
