THE Fijian fans were out in full force at HBF Park yesterday, creating an electric atmosphere that could be felt across the stadium.
Decked in blue flags, jerseys, and merchandise, their energy and passion were impossible to miss.
“I support the team every year, and I wish the Fiji 7s team all the best,” said Mosese Ratu, one of the enthusiastic supporters.
Fintan Billings, who travelled from Dogotuki, Vanua Levu, added, “I came here to support the boys and send my regards to all families in Fiji.”
Manasa, a Rotuman lad in attendance, shared his message for his hometown.
“Regards to everyone in Nausori—Go Fiji, Go!”
Throughout the match, the Fijians were cheering the loudest, with chants of “Go Fiji! Go!” echoing across the stadium, lifting the team’s spirits and energising everyone around.
The fans’ support went beyond the stadium seats, with many gathering outside to watch the big screen and keep the spirit alive.
Families, friends, and even first-time spectators joined in the chants, waving flags, and celebrating every try scored by the team.
For many, attending the Perth Sevens is more than just a sporting event it’s a way to connect with their roots.
The cheers, laughter, and camaraderie among the Fijian supporters reminded everyone that the love for rugby in Fiji is deeply personal and shared across generations.
