OCEANIA Hospitals has appointed David Qumivutia has its new chief executive officer.

He had acted in this role since August last year.

Mr Qumivutia started his career with Oceania Hospitals as a Pathology manager in April 2000, and had delivered exemplary performances over the years in his roles as the general manager, director Business Development and chief operations officer.

The hospital stated Mr Qumivutia brought invaluable insights and expertise given his extensive experience in private and public health.

“His dedication to excellence and ensuring the highest standards will undoubtedly fortify the operations of Oceania Hospitals,” the hospital said in a statement on its social media Facebook page yesterday.

“David has a proven track record in healthcare industry for over 25 years and with his passion for innovation, sustainability and patient care, David is set to lead Oceania Hospitals into an exciting new chapter of growth and transformation,” it stated.

Mr Qumivutia holds a Master of Business Administration and a Postgraduate Certificate in Human Resource Management from the University of the South Pacific, a Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Laboratory Science from the University of Tasmania, and a Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology from the Fiji School of Medicine.

His appointment came into effect on January 28 this year.
