THE Women Invigorating the Nation (WIN) Convention 2026, with the theme: “Give to Gain: Investing In Women, Transform Our Future”, was officially launched in Suva yesterday, providing yet another opportunity for women from all walks of life to meet, network and engage in meaningful dialogues.
The convention is an annual event organised by the Women Entrepreneurs Business Council (WEBC), one of the nine councils under the Fiji Commerce & Employers Federation (FCEF).
In his speech, FCEF president Eldon Eastgate said this year’s theme echoes the truth that “when we invest in women, everyone benefits.”
“Across Fiji, women are leading change: at homes, in villages, boardrooms and classrooms and every corner of our economy.
“Yet, many still face barriers that limit their opportunities. That is why this convention is so important,” Mr Eastgate said.
WEBC chairperson Jyoti Maharaj said that over the past five years, WIN has grown into a respected national forum that brings together women entrepreneurs, business leaders, policymakers and strategic partners with a shared purpose: to move beyond dialogue and deliver tangible outcomes that create lasting economic and social impact, with each convention building on the outcomes of the last.
“Our theme for 2026, “Give to Gain: Investing In Women, Transform Our Future”, reflects a fundamental economic and social truth: when women are invested in, the returns are transformative,” Ms Maharaj said.
Chairperson of the WIN Convention 2026 Organising Committee, Dr Swartika Nair said the two-day event, which will be held on March 27 and March 28, will have a power-packed agenda that will cover a range of topics.
“On Day One we are discussing systems and power, where we’re focusing on women’s leadership, advancing policies, access to finance, which is a major topic and also shaping women’s participation. These are some of the things we will be discussing on Day One,” Dr Nair said.
“On Day Two, we’ll be discussing transformation and future, so we’ll be focusing on innovation, digital tools, artificial intelligence, financial innovation and gender-responsive climate action, so we’ll be having two days of power-packed action so I’m encouraging everyone to register.”
WIN Convention 2026 sponsors who have come on board to support the event are Essity, Merchant Finance, Vodafone Fiji, Digicel, Telecom Fiji, Value City and the official media partner The Fiji Times Ltd. Supporting partners are Pleass Global, Grand Pacific Hotel and Pure Fiji.
